Abstract The article deals with the problems of translation. An attempt is made to investigate how the translator can harmonize the text according to the original text. Description as a compositional verbal form preserves all the main conceptual peculiarities of the whole novel. That is the reason to consider them to be one of the possible ways of conceptual representation of the author’s deep intentions. The title of the text is the dominant subject and the topic. Descriptions are its rema. The conclusion is made that the knowledge of discourse analysis is not only an important mean of linguistics but has a high potential for translator.
