Abstract	У статті розглянуто систему цілей монетарної політики, їх класифікацію, зроблено аналіз останніх досліджень та публікацій з цього питання. Поставлено проблему вибору цілі монетарної політики. Розглянуто доцільність визначення цінової стабільності основною метою монетарної політики та необхідні передумови для запровадження інфляційного таргетування в Україні. The system of the monetary policy objectives and their classification are investigated in the article. The analysis of the latest research and articles has been done. The issue of the choice of the monetary policy goal has been raised. The advisability to determine price stability as the overriding goal of monetary policy and the necessary preconditions for implementation of inflation targeting in Ukraine are considered.
