Abstract	В статті порівнюються основні показники страховиків України, а також аналізується діяльність страхових компаній у світі в цілому. На основі проведеного аналізу зроблено висновок про необхідність подальшої активізації діяльності цих інституційних інвесторів на страховому ринку України. In this article key indicators of Ukrainian insurance companies are compared, as well as current activities of insurance companies in the world are analyzed. The need for further intensification of insurance companies’ activity in the financial market of Ukraine is emphasized.
