Abstract	The article deals with the investigation of the algorithm of the negative operator not translation into Ukrainian. Such ways of translation as word-for-word translation, syntactic transformation (double negation, negation + negative pronoun), lexico-grammatical transformation (antonym translation, transfomation of one part of speech into the other one, negation elimination, transformation of the negation contracted form into complete negation form) wre revealed in the course of investigation.
