Abstract
У статті розглянуті механізми впливу на сприйняття інформації лінгвостилістичних засобів сугестії
в сенсаційних матеріалах електронних газет «USA today», «The Guardian», «China Daily», що висвіт- люють трагедію «Genoa Bridge collapse (Обвал мосту в Генуї)», визначено структуру й особливості
формування лексико-семантичного поля медіа-хайпу.
In the article the mechanisms of influence on the information perception of the linguistic-stylistic means of suggestion in the sensational materials of the electronic newspapers «USA today», «The Guardian», «China Daily», describing the tragedy «Genoa Bridge collapse», are considered, and the structure and features of the formation of the lexical-semantic field of the media hype are determined. Actuality of the study of the linguistic-stylistic means of suggestion used in the electronic newspapers in English is determined by the fact that they cover a wider audience of Internet users, and have a significant influence on formation of certain ideas and points of view on important societal issues. Most of the attention of the audience is attracted by the sensational events that relate to the social and political life, as well as the tragedies that resulted in the deaths of people. As a result of the conducted research we concluded that the most frequent linguistic-stylistic means of suggestion in the sensational materials of the aforementioned newspapers are the techniques of provocation (evaluative judgments, criticism), persuasion (repetitions), and fascination (intimidation). The lexical-semantic field, created with the help of the suggestive means, generates emotional background that directs the information perception in the right way.
