Abstract

Modern sights on reasons and pathogenesis of intrauterine growth retardation are shown. Approaches to classification of intrauterine growth retardation in gynaecology and pediatry are considered. The basic principles of therapy are proclaimed. Necessity in early diagnostics of delay of fetus development with the purpose of its further correction and an increased attention to the newborn with intrauterine growth retardation in neonatal period are grounded.
