A Practitioner’s Research: Director Remuneration in Ukraine

Abstract

Remuneration of members of the supervisory boards in Ukrainian joint-stock companies is the most controversial issue of the corporate board practices. Despite the firm belief of the shareholders that the director remuneration is one of the most important factors influencing the board performance, there are still many companies where directors are not remunerated for their work on the supervisory board. This research addresses this issue.

Винагорода членів наглядових рад в українських акціонерних товариствах є найбільш спірним питанням практики корпоративного правління. Незважаючи на тверду віру акціонерів в те, що директорська винагорода - один з найбільш важливих факторів, що впливають на продуктивність плати, є до сих пір багато компаній, де директора не отримують винагороду за свою роботу від наглядової ради. Це дослідження вирішує цю проблему.
