Item Analysis of the epidemic situation of the COVID-19 coronavirus infection in Ukraine(Polish Academy of Sciences, 2023) Podavalenko, A.P.; Malysh, Nina Hryhorivna; Малиш, Ніна Григорівна; Zadorozhna, V.I.; Zhuk, Kateryna Ihorivna; Жук, Катерина Ігорівна; Zaitseva, G.S.; Chorna, Inna Valentynivna; Чорна, Інна ВалентинівнаЕпідемічний процес COVID-19 у світі розвивався стрімко. (0,538Item Influence of Meteorological Factors on Covid-19 Incidence in the Conditions of Ukraine(Ibn Sina Medical College, 2023) Podavalenko, A.P.; Malysh, Nina Hryhorivna; Малиш, Ніна Григорівна; Kuzmenko, Olha Vitaliivna; Кузьменко, Ольга Віталіївна; Zadorozhna, V.I.; Kolomiiets, Svitlana Volodymyrivna; Коломієць, Світлана Володимирівна; Chemych, Oksana Mykolaivna; Чемич, Оксана МиколаївнаThe coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is a problem for the health care systems of many countries around the world. Seasonal nature of influenza and other the respiratory viral diseasesis commonly known. The nature of the relationship between the frequency of registration of cases of COVID-19 and natural factors is still being studied by researchers. The purpose is to determine the influence of air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, and atmospheric pressure on the incidence of the coronavirus disease COVID-19 in the conditions of Ukraine.Item The Current Epidemic Situation of Infections with Airborne Transmission of Viral Etiology in Ukraine(Ibn Sina Medical College, 2022) Podavalenko, A.; Chorna, Inna ValentynivnaBackground: The infectious diseases of viral etiology with airborne transmission generally dominate in the structure of infectious incidence. Objective: To determine incidence of viral infections with airborne transmission in the north-eastern region of Ukraine, to research the impact of social and natural factors on the intensity of epidemic process. Methods: In order to determine the current epidemiological peculiarities of infections with airborne transmission in the north-eastern region of Ukraine, a retrospective and operative analysis of the incidence, reports of vaccination of decreed child population in 2009‒2019, demographic and natural indicators. Results: Trends in the incidence of influenza were characterized by chaotic nature and disorder, acute respiratory viral infections ‒ high intensity and monotony. Significant correlations were established between the incidence of influenza and number and density of the population, the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections and the coefficient of migration population movement. Direct strong correlations were found between social factors and trends in the incidence of rubella and mumps. Coronavirus infection COVID–19 has become the problem for health care facilities in Sumy oblast. Conclusion: Quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the epidemic process of infections of viral etiology with airborne transmission have changed, which requires new approaches to organization of the system of epidemiological surveillance.Item Epidemiological peculiarities and analysis of the incidence time series of viral airborne infections in Ukraine in 2010–2020(Oddział PAN w Krakowie; Uniwersytet Jagielloński – Collegium Medicum, 2021) Малиш, Ніна Григорівна; Малыш, Нина Григорьевна; Malysh, Nina Hryhorivna; Podavalenko, A.; Zadorozhna, V.; Biryukova, S.Illnesses with aerosol mode of transmission dominate in the structure of infectious diseases. Influenced by natural, social and biological factors, epidemiological characteristics of the infectious diseases change, that’s why the objective of this research was to determine modern peculiar features of the epidemiological situation regarding viral infections with aerosol transmission in Ukraine. Influenza incidence ranged from 31.14‒184.45 per 100 thousand people, other acute respiratory viral infections from 13685.24‒ 18382.5. Epidemic process of measles was characterized by increasing incidence in 2018 and 2019. In Ukraine, there is a tendency to reduce the incidence of rubella and mumps (р <0.05). The positive effect of immunization on the incidence of mumps and rubella has been established. Vaccination against measles cannot be considered as evidence of immunity against measles. The demographic situation in Ukraine may indirectly influence the intensity of the epidemic situation of viral infections with aerosol transmission. Berest, Oleh Borysovych; Suprun, O.; Svyrydenko, D.This work describes etiological structure and statistics for causes of acute enteric infections and salmonellosis in modern conditions. Method: It was analyzed the common epidemiologic signs and indices of modern acute enteric infections (AEI), caused by opportunistic microorganisms (OMO), various viruses and salmonella. Result: The research also shows the integrative intoxication indicators of causal groups in endogenous intoxication which point to these phenomena being caused by autointoxication at the moment of one’s own cells disruption as well as induced by bacterial endo- and exotoxins. Conclusion: The work compares the etiology of AEI on the basis of reviewing their epidemiological attributes, changes in the integrative indication for endogenous intoxication, as well as vectors and causal correlations between hematological and microbiotic indicators.Item Diarrhea infections in north-eastern Ukraine: evolution of epidemic process(Ibn Sina Medical College, 2020) Малиш, Ніна Григорівна; Малыш, Нина Григорьевна; Malysh, Nina Hryhorivna; Чемич, Микола Дмитрович; Чемич, Николай Дмитриевич; Chemych, Mykola Dmytrovych; Zadorozhna, V.; Podavalenko, A.; Birukova, S.Abstract: Background: The significance of some infection sources, pathways of pathogen transmission and etiological structure of diarrhea infections (DI) have changed. Many issues of DI epidemiology are still insufficiently studied, which prevents the organisation of quality epidemiological surveillance and diseases control. Objectives: To study the DI epidemic situation (ES) in North- Eastern Ukraine and to identify the factors that determines the characteristics of epidemic process (EP). Material and Methods: The reports of Ministry of Health of Ukraine (1960- 2018) and Head Statistics Administration of Sumy Oblast (2001-2018) have been used. The biological properties of 40 strains of K. pneumoniae, 50 - S. aureus, 40 - E. cloacae recovered from the feces of patients with DI have been studied. Results: It has been found that the EP of DI is characterized by a sharp decrease in the incidence of typhoid fever and shigellosis, increase in the incidence of salmonellosis and dominance of DI caused by other specified or unspecified pathogens (SDI and UDI) in the nosological structure (p<0.05). The incidence of DI caused by Klebsiella, Staphylococus, Enterobacters exceeds the incidence of salmonellosis, shigellosis, typhoid fever (p<0.05). Opportunistic pathogens (OP), which are pathogens of DI have antilysozyme activity and adhesion ability, which proves their pathogenic potential. The demographics indirectly affect the incidence of DI. Access to water supply, sewerage, hot water supply is correlates with the incidence of DI. Conclusion: The system of epidemiological surveillance over DI in Ukraine needs improvement by optimisation its information and analytical subsystems aimed at objective epidemiological diagnostics and ES forecasting.
