Abstract

У пропонованій до опублікування першій частині матеріалів з архіву Григорія Нудьги подано початок нелегкої історії підготовки до видання книги «Українська дума і пісня в світі», яка, подолавши всі перешкоди на шляху до свого читача, вийшла у світ уже по смерті її автора лише в 1997 (перша книга) та 1998 (друга книга), хоча роботу над нею він започаткував публікацією статті «Українська пісня за кордоном» в11 числі часопису «Вітчизна»за 1958 рік.The published part of the materials from the archive of Hryhoriy Nudga presents for the first time the beginning of the difficult history of preparation for the publication of the book «Ukrainian Duma and Song in the World», which, having overcome all obstacles on the way to its reader, was published after the death of its author only in 1997 (the first book) and 1998 (the second book), although he began work on it with the publication of the article «Ukrainian Song Abroad» in the 11th issue of the magazine «Vitchyzna» in 1958.
