Abstract	An analysis of the equivalent circuit of the Impatt oscillator with varactor frequency tuning in the serial connection of an active and controlling element. The findings of experimental and theoretical studies have shown that over a frequency range of 70 – 75 GHz a frequency tuning band on the order of ~ 4 % has been obtained.
