Abstract |
Hard nanostructure coatings are rather effective in increasing of productivity, improving of wear resistance and durability of metals and alloys. Due to its perfect unique mechanical properties and thermal stability, the protective layer noticeably supports and improves the functional state of instruments and devices under extreme conditions of exploitation. Such protective coatings allow having high hardness, low values of friction
coefficient, good adhesion to the substrate, and high level of oxidation and wear resistance of operating parts of different instruments and devices. The most popular and widely used methods of protective coating fabrication are vacuum-arc deposition, ion metallization, and magnetron sputtering. |
