Abstract The purpose of this abstract is to investigate the transformative effects of globalization and internationalization on modern educational processes, considering how digitalization, international standards, and intercultural programs reshape traditional pedagogy while simultaneously presenting challenges to cultural identity and educational equality. Methods. A systematic literature search was conducted, drawing upon academic resources and relevant publications on the impact of globalization and internationalization in education. Results. Modern educational systems are currently grappling with the paradox of globalization. While new technologies and international collaboration offer unprecedented opportunities, they also intensify challenges related to cultural homogenization, educational inequality, and the balance between global competencies and local traditions. The rapid adoption of personalized learning, digital platforms, and intercultural programs not only transforms traditional pedagogical approaches but also introduces new societal challenges—such as the commercialization of education, resistance to cultural homogenization, and the tension between global competencies and local traditions.
