Abstract |
With rapid transformations of digital and AI technologies and Ukraine’s
aspirations for the EU membership, the demand for effective English language
communication among current and future public officials has never been greater.
English now serves as a global lingua franca: policy documents are published and
negotiated in English and professional activities require spoken interaction. Yet even students who recognise the necessity of English for career advancement (Ozminska,
2021), often remain reluctant to speak in class. Many learners, despite adequate
vocabulary and grammar knowledge, often find it difficult to initiate and keep spoken
exchanges. |
