Abstract The friction coefficient in adhesion contacts depends on multiple factors, including material properties, external load and contact geometry. Understanding the role of these parameters is essential for optimizing tribological performance in various applications, including elastomeric seals, biomedical devices, and soft robotic interfaces. This study investigates the effect of the geometrical contact profile f(r) = 𝑐𝑛rn in combination with the external load 𝐹𝑁 and material parameters on the friction coefficient 𝜇. Theoretical analysis is performed using adhesion contact mechanics and numerical simulations are conducted in MATLAB to visualize the influence of these quantities.
