Abstract According to the Green Deal adopted by the European Commission (2021b), green innovations are the tool for achieving sustainable development goals and transforming Europe into a fair and prosperous society with a modern, resource- saving, competitive, and climate-neutral economies, growing independently of natural resource consumption. Moreover, innovations are the key to transforming economies and societies, overcoming the pandemic and building back better.
